Jobber AI receptionist alternatives: 6 that sync in 2026

Jobber’s receptionist is $29 for 30 conversations. Six AI receptionists with their own Jobber connection: how deep each goes, the price, how to test one.

Hear the AI receptionist answer a real call — 60 seconds →

At least six AI receptionists list their own Jobber connection, outside Zapier: Rosie, Call Agent AI, Marlie, Carly, Goodcall and LeadTruffle. They differ most in how deep that write goes, from a note on the client to a visit booked against your crew’s real Jobber schedule. Jobber’s own receptionist is $29 a month for 30 conversations, so an alternative earns its place by booking better, costing less at your volume, or doing something Jobber’s doesn’t.

Every sync claim below comes from the vendor’s own page, opened on October 31, 2026. None of it is our testing, so the last section is how to test one yourself in an afternoon.

What does Jobber’s own AI receptionist do and cost?

From Jobber’s help center (updated October 28, 2026): the Receptionist is a $29-a-month add-on with 30 conversations, then $0.79 per conversation, or you can pause it instead of paying more. It’s included with unlimited use on the Plus plan. It needs a Jobber phone number and works in the US, Canada and the UK. Its feature page says it can capture a request and book the visit during the call.

Watch for old numbers: Jobber’s own Academy article on virtual receptionists (August 2025) still describes the receptionist as a $99 Grow-plan add-on. The help center price above is the current one. Our Jobber AI receptionist review works through what it costs at different call volumes.

The usual reasons to look elsewhere: you take a lot more than 30 calls a month and you’re not on Plus, you want more control over what the AI says, or you want texting, chat and calls handled by one assistant.

How deep can an AI receptionist write into Jobber?

“Integrates with Jobber” covers four very different things. From shallowest to deepest:

  1. A note. The call summary lands on a client record. Useful, but someone still has to create the request and schedule it.
  2. A client. A new caller becomes a Jobber client, matched by phone number so a repeat caller isn’t duplicated.
  3. A request. The call becomes a Jobber request (and sometimes a quote), waiting in your queue for you to schedule.
  4. A booked visit. The receptionist reads your team’s availability in Jobber and books the visit while the caller is on the line.

Level four is what many owners picture. Fewer tools claim it.

Which AI receptionists integrate with Jobber?

From each vendor’s own page, October 31, 2026:

Receptionist How it connects How deep, in the vendor’s words Price
Rosie Native New callers become clients, matched by phone; each call, text and chat is a note with a summary. Its own help page says the integration “logs calls, texts, chats, and clients”; bookings go to a separate calendar, not Jobber. Works with any Jobber plan. $49 / $149 / $299 a month for 250 / 1,000 / 2,000 minutes (pricing)
Call Agent AI Native, “no Zapier, no API keys” Reads your Jobber schedule live, finds callers by phone, creates new clients, and “the phone call becomes the Jobber booking.” $45 / $120 / $225 a month for about 90 / 750 / 1,730 minutes; the CRM connection is $20 a month extra below its top plan (pricing)
Marlie AI Native, in early access: its marketplace listing is still in draft, and you ask Marlie to connect your account Clients and requests, or a mode that books a visit, with availability “computed live from your Jobber team schedule” and a call summary attached. $49 for 250 minutes up to $399 for 2,000; real-time availability checks start on its $99 plan (pricing)
Carly Its API connector Turns calls into requests with the transcript attached, and looks up existing clients. From $35 a month
Goodcall Jobber’s API Says it uses real-time information from Jobber, via the API, to handle bookings; it gives no setup details. From $79 a month for 100 unique callers (pricing)
LeadTruffle Listed integration Lists Jobber among its “AI CRM booking integrations.” Quote only

Two of these, Call Agent AI and Marlie, say plainly that they read your Jobber availability, which is what level four needs; Goodcall’s page is vaguer. Rosie stops at notes and clients by its own description, and Carly at requests. That doesn’t make Rosie or Carly worse: a request you schedule yourself is safer than an AI double-booking a crew. Pick the depth you actually want. LeadTruffle only lists Jobber, so ask it how it connects and what it writes.

Hear the receptionist take a real call — it rings your phone in about a minute.

What about receptionists that connect through Zapier?

Most of the rest connect through Zapier, including Upfirst, Dialzara, My AI Front Desk and human services like Ruby and AnswerConnect. Smith.ai is a mix: its Jobber page lists a native connection for request forms and appointment setting, plus a Zapier route to create a Jobber client after each call.

Jobber’s Zapier app can create or find a client, add tags, create a request, quote or job, and add a note to a request. It has no action for logging a call, so a call usually lands as a request or a note. Zapier also bills per task and may check for new calls on a timer, so a lead can sit a few minutes before it shows up. We priced the Zapier route in AI receptionist CRM integration.

Which Jobber plan do you need for an integration?

Jobber’s pricing page lists app marketplace connections on every plan, from Core ($49 a month billed monthly, or $29 a month billed annually) up to Plus ($499 a month, or $399 a month billed annually, with the receptionist included). Jobber’s App Marketplace help article says only admin users can open the marketplace and that some apps are hidden if your account doesn’t meet their criteria. Rosie says any Jobber plan works; Marlie says it needs Connect, Grow or Plus. Ask the vendor which Jobber plan their connection needs before you upgrade Jobber or pay for the receptionist.

How do you test a Jobber receptionist before you trust it?

Make three test calls on day one:

  1. A brand-new caller. Check that one client appears in Jobber, not two.
  2. A number already in Jobber. Check that the call lands on that client, not a new one.
  3. A caller who wants a visit. Check where the booking lands: a request to schedule, or a visit on a real crew’s day, at a time that crew is actually free.

Then read the transcript next to what landed in Jobber. If the summary says Tuesday and Jobber says Thursday, stop there. Our guide to forwarding calls to an AI receptionist covers the carrier codes for sending only missed calls while you test.

Where does Stack Space fit?

Stack Space doesn’t integrate with Jobber, so it isn’t one of the alternatives above. It’s a CRM with the AI receptionist built in: the receptionist books onto the calendar inside Stack Space, and the transcript, the customer, the estimate, the invoice and the review request sit on one record. Plans are $125 a month (Starter, 250 receptionist minutes) or $355 (Professional, 900 minutes), month to month with no free trial.

It makes sense if you’d rather replace Jobber’s front office than bolt a receptionist onto it. If your crews live in Jobber’s scheduling, routing and job costing, keep Jobber and pick a receptionist from the table; Jobber is the stronger field-service tool. How the two compare is in our best CRM for home services post.

FAQ

What is the best alternative to Jobber’s AI receptionist? It depends on the depth you want. If the receptionist should book visits against your crew’s Jobber schedule, start with the two that say they read Jobber availability (Call Agent AI, and Marlie, whose Jobber connection is in early access). If notes and new clients are enough, Rosie is a well-documented option. Test any of them with three calls before you switch.

Does Jobber’s AI receptionist cost extra? Yes, below the Plus plan: $29 a month for 30 conversations, then $0.79 each, per Jobber’s help center in October 2026. It’s included with unlimited use on Plus.

Can an AI receptionist book jobs directly in Jobber? Some say they can. Call Agent AI and Marlie describe reading Jobber availability and booking during the call, and Goodcall says it handles bookings through Jobber’s API; others create a request for you to schedule. All of these are vendor claims, so test a booking before you trust it.

Do I need Zapier to connect an AI receptionist to Jobber? Not with the tools in the table, which list their own Jobber connection (ask LeadTruffle how it works). Zapier works for almost any receptionist, but Jobber’s Zapier app can’t log a call, so it lands as a request or a note.
